The task of overflow valves (also referred to as pressure holding valves, relief valves or pre-pressure controlled regulators) is that at a preset pressure, the medium flows over, with an existing back pressure or an existing vacuum has no effect on the set pressure. These points above are characteristic of an overflow valve, in contrast to a normal safety valve. The safety valve is only a safeguard against exceeding a certain pressure (set pressure). The spill valve T27 is a single seat valve and is particularly suitable for incompressible media such as e.g. Water, oil (lubricating oil, fuel, HFO, LFO, MGO), etc. The overflow valves are fully relieved, the back pressure therefore has no influence on the set overflow pressure. Only the overflow changes, because the pressure difference is smaller at back pressure. They are mainly used in pump circuits to keep a certain pre-pressure constant. The seal between the guide bush and the cone takes place with an O-ring. The relief valves can be supplied with flange, weld end or threaded connections.
