Low Pressure – Metal and Soft Seats
Swing check valves have lower pressure losses due to their straight passage. They are primarily suitable for horizontal or vertical pipelines flowing through.

Check valves have lower pressure losses due to their straight passage. The wide swinging rattling stroke is associated with a hard folding stop, especially for large nominal diameters. When used in steam or gas pipes or in pipes with pulsating flow, shock absorption can be achieved by air or oil brakes. In the case of liquid flows, an additional flap loading by lever and weight or spring acting in the closing direction is applied; the resulting increased pressure loss must be accepted. The check valves are primarily suitable for horizontal or vertical pipelines flowing upwards. In a different position or flow direction, the closing movement must be ensured by lever and weight load.
